Throughout this academic year class 3/4S will be participating in the ‘Linking Schools Project’, which Riverside Junior School has actively been involved in over previous years. Our partnering school will be St Malachys Catholic Primary School in Halifax.
The aim of The Linking Network Project is to develop the spiritual, moral, social and cultural learning of our pupils which can form a lever for positive whole school change. More information is available to access on the official website.
As part of our Linking Schools Project we will be producing work to send to St Malachys School, with a clear focus on exploring identity, celebrating diversity, promoting community and understanding equality. We will be in regular contact with our partnering school sending: class letters, emails and possibly video calls - dependent on parental/guardian consent.
On Tuesday 27th November, as a class we will be visiting Bankfield Museum in Halifax, to meet the children from St Malachys and participate in a fun work shop (more details to follow closer to date).
