Aboriginal Creation Stories
Today we are looking at stories taken from the Aborigines who are the indigenous people of Australia. This means that they were the first people to settle there.
The Aborigines believe in ‘The Dreamtime’ and this is when they believe that the world was created by their ancestor’s spirits.
There are many stories about The Dreamtime and they have been told for years and years. They are still told today through singing, dancing, art and story telling.
Today, you will learn a Dreamtime story about how the birds got their colours.
