To identify natural resources available in Commonwealth countries
Your first challenge is to find out which country on the map is which! You might want to look at your list from Wednesday!
One you've done that, you'll need to find out which natural resources are available in these countries.
- Focus on one country in particular
- Focus on a specific continent
- Pick countries from each of the continents
Countries with the most resources should be richest, right? You might be surprised to see where the majority of our natural resources come from. Why do you think this pattern exists? What could we do to make it fairer?
You might want to consider the following resources: coal, diamonds, gas, oil, fruits, vegetables, fishing.
As a move on challenge, you might want to research where these resources get shipped to, where are they traded and for what?
