Multiply 2-digits by 2-digits

For todays lesson you will be using the Area Model (also known as the Grid Method) and Long Multiplication Method to multiply 2-digits by 2-digits. These two methods are easier for breaking down the 2-digits into smaller steps, although if you wish to continue using a different method this is your choice.

STARTER: Why not practice some 2-digit by 2-digit multiplications before moving onto the worksheet and challenges? The examples below are using the Area Model (Grid Method) of multiplication.
