Welcome to 6C
All About Me
Hello 6C and welcome to this page! I am thrilled to be teaching year 6 again this year and I feel as though I know most of you very well already. I am excited to come back to school in September and welcome you all back. We are moving classroom next year, just one along the corridor, we will have 20 children in our class. Although most of you know me pretty well, I will just jog your memories and welcome the new members of the class. Have a go at completing the 'all about me' at the bottom of the page and send it back to me, it would be great to hear from you all!
One thing that I love to do is travel. I adore going to different countries and learning all about different cultures. One of my favourite places to go is Italy and I have been there many times. Two years ago I visited Pompeii and climbed Mount Vesuvius, it was a fabulous trip of a lifetime and something I have always wanted to do! I was even lucky enough to get engaged in Piazza San Marco, Venice!
Μου αρέσει να μιλάω πολλές διαφορετικές γλώσσες.
Can you guess what language this is?
It's Greek! It translates to: I love to speak lots of different languages - and this is very true! I went to Greek school every Saturday when I was a child and even did my GCSE in Greek! I love to learn different languages and am teaching my self Spanish at the moment.
I love getting stuck into a good book. There is nothing better than escaping into a wonderful story. Reading is important because it develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge while keeping our minds active. The importance of reading books to help us learn and understand cannot be underestimated, not to mention the vocabulary and thinking skills we develop.
Don't forget to fill out the 'all about me' sheet below so I can get to know you better, what have you been up to? Maybe you have new hobbies since lockdown? Tell me all!
Have a fantastic summer, see you in September!
