Welcome to Year Five/Six - Merlins

Another school year is already here and the children have hit the ground running and have shown some fantastic readiness for learning this week.

Our year kicks off with the ‘Adventures of Odysseus’: a collection of trials faced by an Ancient Greek hero on his quest to return home after a brutal war!

The Ancient Greeks will also be inspiring our history learning as we examine primary and secondary sources for historical accuracy - finding the fact is sometimes stranger than fiction.

Our Science study this half term will focus on evolution and inheritance as we explore animal adaptation, genetics and scientists who paved the way for how we view evolution today.
