Residential

For many children, the Year 6 residential marks the highest point (both literal and figurative) of their primary education! We love the residential experience, and value it as an important part of our marvelous children’s growth and development as much as any Maths or English.

We begin asking for payment during Year 5, and if for any reason you are worrying that cost may prevent your child from attending, please get in touch with the school as soon as possible, and we want all children to attend

PGL trip for Year 6 September 25th, 2023

On this page you should be able to find all the relevant information you need on the upcoming Year 6 trip, including the Risk Assessment above.

You can explore the site itself through the website, which has a virtual tour and lots of images of the fun activities and beautiful landscapes the children will experience (https://www.pgl.co.uk/en-gb/adventure-holidays/centres/winmarleigh-hall).

On this site you'll find a kit list and copies of any letters we've sent out about the trip.  Of course we'll be updating the school on our return in case we're caught in traffic, but if there is anything beforehand or during the trip that you'd like an answer on please get in touch with the office.

What the children think about it…

“I wished I could continue the residential because it was really fun and the meals were something to look forward to!”

“It’s really fun and time flies when you’re there! Plus, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want.”

“All of the activities are amazing. You get to spend time with your friends, teachers and bring snacks for your room, because you get to have a midnight feast ! ;-)”

“We had the best of time, even though it was raining! I didn’t want to leave!”
