Key information for our class:
Our indoor PE day is Friday and our outdoor PE day is Monday so please make sure that your child comes to school in PE kit on those days.
Homework goes home on a Friday and consists of weekly spellings, maths activities and a question of the week. Children will be quizzed on their spellings the following Friday. Homework books need to be returned to school by Wednesday.

What are we learning about?
Maths
We will be focusing on fractions and mass and capacity this half term.
Get your child going on White Rose 1-minute maths! It is a great way to bring the learning home!
English
Our current text in English is ‘The Last Bear’ by Hannah Gold.
We will be using this fabulous text for inspiration as we create setting descriptions, narratives and persuasive texts.
We will also be creating recounts of our exciting trip to the National Science and Media museum in Bradford.
Other Curriculum Areas
Science
In Science this half term, we will be learning all about sound!
We will look at how sound is made, as well as how we can explore pitch and volume.
Geography
This half term, we will be learning about what makes Canada unique!
We will look at the environment, animals and mountains that make Canada so unique.
