Welcome to our class!

Here, you will be able to find out about all of the exciting learning that we get up to and anything that you might need to know about upcoming events.

Key information for our class:

  • Our outdoor PE day is Thursday and our indoor PE day is Friday so please make sure that your child comes to school in PE kit on those days.

  • Homework goes home on a Friday and consists of weekly spellings, maths activities and a question of the week. Children will be quizzed on their spellings the following Friday. Homework books need to be returned to school by Wednesday.

What are we learning about?

Maths

This half term we will be learning about money, shape, position and direction and statistics.

Get your child going on Times Tables Rockstars. It’s a great way to develop fluency in multiplication and division!

English

Our current text in English this half term is ‘Peter Pan’.

Other Curriculum Areas

Science

In Science this half term, we will be learning all about states of matter!

We will learn the three states of matter, explore how particles behave, explore melting, freezing and boiling points and evaporation and condensation.

History

This half term, we will be learning all about Anglo Saxons.

We will describe what Anglo Saxon life was like, find reasons as to why the Anglo Saxons came to Britain, understand how Anglo Saxon Britain was ruled, understand the significance of Alfred the Great and appreciate the culture of Anglo Saxons.
